About
Nilesh Garg
Physics · AI · Markets
Physics student at the University of Houston (Honors College, '28), with a winding path through Computer Engineering and CS before landing where the questions are biggest.
I think in systems: energy landscapes, market structure, civilizational-scale risk. I trade macro catalysts with a portfolio I manage actively, and ship AI tools in Python on nights and weekends. Previously explored VC externships and open-source financial analysis tooling.
The best questions live at the edge of two fields: physics and markets, AI and energy systems, mathematics and human behavior. That's where I spend most of my time. I write about macro and markets on Substack.
What I'm focused on
- Building agentic AI systems (Python, RAG, LLMs)
- Trading macro catalysts and managing my own portfolio
- Studying physics, mathematical analysis, and quantum systems
- Writing about macro, markets, and technology
